Kitesurfer in action in Madagascar, illustrating the budget for a stay at the Sakalava Lodge

How much does a kitesurfing trip to Madagascar cost? The all-inclusive budget, with no surprises

Before booking a kitesurfing holiday, the real question isn't "how much does it cost per night?" but "how much will I actually spend at the end of the week?" This is where most kitesurfing destinations trap you: an attractive starting price, then equipment rental, hourly coaching, meals out, drinks, transfers… and the final bill skyrockets.

At Sakalava Lodge, they've taken the opposite approach: a single, all-inclusive price, announced before your departure. Here, with supporting figures, is what a kitesurfing or wingfoiling holiday in Madagascar really costs.

Our promise in 4 words: unlimited, clear, no surprises, controlled budget

Clear. One price per package and per duration, displayed on our pricing page. No hidden grid, no misleading "starting from" price.

No surprises there. Accommodation, full board, open bar, equipment, coaching: everything is arranged before your arrival. You land in Madagascar with a budget already set.

Controlled budget. Whether you stay 3 nights or a week, you know to the euro what your stay will cost — and you can simulate it online in 30 seconds.

In practical terms, for a couple of riders on an all-inclusive week-long package, this works out to approximately €171 per person per night — including beachfront accommodation, full board, open bar, and unlimited kitesurfing/wingfoiling. None of these services will be charged again during your stay.

Why "all-inclusive" holidays are often cheaper than "budget" holidays

On a classic kite destination, with an à la carte package, you should generally expect to pay per day and per person: €40 to €60 for equipment rental, €50 to €70 per hour of coaching, €20 to €30 per meal excluding accommodation, not including drinks and time lost in transfers between the spot and the lodge.

Over a week, these combined expenses quickly exceed the price shown by our packages — without even considering the reduced comfort: at Sakalava Lodge , you take off on foot from your bungalow, directly to the Sakalava Bay spot.

Family budget: riders and non-riders together

The all-inclusive model is ideal for families or mixed couples (one rider, one non-rider). The "2 people, 1 kiteboarder + 1 non-kiteboarder" package (€865 for 3 nights, €1,760 for one week) includes the same full board, open bar, and accommodation for both, with free access to stand-up paddleboarding, fitness facilities, and pickleball for the non-rider—plus optional excursions to explore northern Madagascar (Red Tsingy, Amber Mountain, Emerald Sea). Children under 12 are €110 (3 nights) or €275 (1 week), and a babysitting service is available upon request.

Simulate your budget in 30 seconds

The easiest way is to try our simulator on the pricing page : choose your dates, the number of people (kite package or without kite), and get your exact quote, sent by email or WhatsApp. For any questions about a custom package, our team will answer directly on WhatsApp.
